Halloween

October 2010 – We arrived a few days before Halloween, just in time to go trick or treating with their cousins. Aunt Lisa had a party before, and then we went around the neighborhood. This year’s theme was centered around our Daisy Doll. She was, of course, a daisy for Halloween. So we went as a garden. The party was so much fun, and the kids had a great time asking for candy at the various houses.

/Caisen skipped the formality of it all and went straight to the box. At one point we looked across the gym and Caisen was quickly and efficiently gathering up boxes of crayons and putting them in a bowl. Aunt Lisa said, “Oh look how well Caisen is cleaning up!” I hated to burst her bubble, but she may as well know the truth. “That bowl is orange, and Caisen thinks anything orange belongs to him. He’s not cleaning up, he’s cleaning you out.”

/Here is our garden. Kimball was a garden gnome (he refused to wear the beard), Caisen was a pumpkin, Brinlee was a butterfly, Sawyer was a bee, and Daisy was a daisy. We were going to be farmers, but our clothes were still in hiding from the cross-country trek.
