Not much has changed with the babies since the last blog (not that every second of their lives doesn’t fascinate their parents). So here’s a quick update:

/Sawyer – He seems to be having the worst reflux (causing him to have more apnea) so they are starting him on Reglan, which is supposed to help move the food through his system faster. We asked the nurse if this meant he would absorb less of the nutrients, but that question seemed to be way over her head. He is now at 4 lbs 3 oz.

/Brinlee has not gained a lot of weight in the past two days but appears to be doing well. She is at 3 lbs 10 oz. and has the beginnings of what appears to be her first diaper rash. They are considering increasing her feedings, but are waiting to see if her reflux calms down some. She also has a small amount of eye drainage that they are culturing to see if any antibiotics are needed.

/Kimball had his feedings increased from 9.5ccs an hour to 10 to tie with his siblings. He is also now at 3 lbs 10 oz. so he has caught up with Brinlee.Â

/Bad dad, who hasn’t shown any other signs of being sick other than additional drainage down the back of his throat, donned a surgical mask and visited with the kids on Friday and Saturday. Although I didn’t really touch them, at least I was there.Â
