Tonight Brinlee and Kimball were moved to the preemie nursery where they will have the same amount of attention but will have a little more liberty and will become “feeders and growers.” April got to kangaroo hold (skin to skin hold) both of them and I also held Brinlee. The babies calmed down as soon as April got them in her arms. It was pretty amazing. They are tiny but doing well. As for the reunion, they are now at least in the same room about 10 feet away so they can probably hear each other cry.Â

/As soon as they lose their IVs and can maintain body temperature they will be moved to cribs. At that point they can cobed.

/We also visited Sawyer who continued to rest. He still looks peaceful and the nurses believe he is doing well. Hopefully after his chest x-ray in the morning they will be able to take out the chest tube if his lung has healed. We want him to rejoin the others ASAP.
