Caisen had his 2-month check up on Wednesday, and everything looks great. He weighed 12 pounds 2 ounces (60 percentile) and was 21 3/4 inches long (10 percentile). So technically that means we have another obese baby on our hands, but at this age it’s not a problem. He is eating and growing and doing great! Poor kid got 5 shots, but he handled it like a pro. He really wasn’t even cranky later.

/He is smiling and cooing more and more. He has the cutest crooked, toothless grin. It just makes us melt. We have rearranged the downstairs yet again. I took half of baby jail (meant to keep babies in) and created two baby fortresses (meant to keep toddlers OUT). In one he has his activity mat and bouncy seat, in the other is his swing. He really likes his activity mat. The swing is also enjoyable, but puts him to sleep. He’s less crazy about the bouncy seat, but that could be because it needs new batteries and the music sounds worse than usual.

/We are finally getting 5-5 1/2 hour stretches at night. We are looking forward to having that number increase. We’re still experimenting with the contents of his bottle to see if we can settle his stomach. We are currently trying Nutramigen ($26 for a 16 oz can!!!!) formula with oatmeal instead of rice for his reflux. We are undecided.
