Officially on the Naughty List After a Not-So-Silent Night

Adam’s mom bought the kids a really cute t-shirt that reads, “Dear Santa, I’ve been good. Get busy!” On Christmas Eve we bathed them and dressed them in their shirts. We’ve decided those shirts must have been sprinkled with naughty dust, because that’s when the trouble began. They decided to tag-team us and keep us up all night long. Brinlee took four hours to eat and be put down. It was pretty unusual for her (or any of them). She was hysterical. Too hysterical to eat, too hungry to stop crying, and too hungry and hysterical to sleep. It was a hard night for her and mommy. She eventually went down and stayed down for the night. That’s when the boys started. They took turns with their demands all night long. It was our first bad night with them. I knew Adam was pretty much done when I passed him in the hall around 5 am and he grumbled, “I’m cutting up those shirts.” Instead of cutting them up he has since decided that using them as burp rags is a more suitable fate for the shirts.
