Back in the Circle of Trust

The boys started reconnecting with me around Tuesday, and by Friday I was part of the posse again. I’ve been forgiven. If it ever happens to you, I’ll tell you what did it. I took my percocet like a good little girl and played a little game of chase with them. Then I started helping with their care as I could. I even helped put them to bed (against doctor’s orders of lifting). As the kids climbed the stairs to go to bed, Kimball looked back and saw me coming up too. I swear he smiled because I was going too. I think they wanted to know that I was still going to be taking care of them. I feel so much better that my boys love me again. It was worth every stab of pain in my incision to get back in their good graces and make them feel more secure.

/A couple of days after I came home from the hospital, Adam took the kids out of the house to a shopping center. They needed to get out of the house, and Adam wanted to look at a few things. That usually makes them super happy. Not that day. Kimball was not to be appeased by a simple outing. He was super unhappy in general those first 5 days after I came home. He yelled a lot on the outing. At one of the stores, a lady bent down and asked Kimball, “Are you just unhappy today?” To which Kimball replied, “AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” right in her face. If you’ve ever seen Kimball do this when he’s crabby, it’s pretty funny. He puffs out his chest and makes his grumpiest face and yells at you.

/I have lots of pictures to post. We had their 18-month pictures and Caisen’s newborn pictures taken yesterday, and we got lots of good ones. I’ll post in a few days. Brinlee is sick with something viral, supposedly. Add that to the other 3 kids, and there’s not a lot of extra time. I’m babystepping. Be patient.
