Now that I’ve completed the DYT Type 4 30-day challenge, I feel so much better. I know I haven’t found my exact style, and I know I’m not getting everything right, but every day I get to try something new and get that much closer. Taking the pictures helps me see what went right and what went wrong.
I thought I’d also add little moments that express my type four nature, whether recently or the distant past. Once you understand your type, you will look back over your life and moments and idiosyncrasies will suddenly make sense. Like today. I’m so hungry, but I can’t have lunch until one of my chickens lays one more egg so I can make mayonnaise so I can make a BLT with my garden tomatoes. I am not eating my BLT sans mayo. It’s just not right. How is that for my T4 punishing me? No lunch until it is perfect lunch. And if I could get 2 more eggs then I would poach an egg to go on my perfect BLT, and that would be *SPECTACULAR*. Not sure my tummy can hold out for spectacular, though.
By the way, a watched chicken doesn’t lay.

I didn’t feel great today, but I had a lot to do in and out of the house. I just wanted easy and comfortable (oh wait, that is every day). And it was raining. Hot pink rain boots lift my spirits. This gingham shirt has been a favorite for the last few years.
This I like, although pointy-toed flats would be more appropriate for me. I really like this shirt. It is very easy and comfortable, but put together.
This I also liked. Love stripes, love a dark wash denim jacket, love red. I would probably choose a different necklace next time, but I will wear this again.
This was a yes and a no. Love a navy dress, especially with a pop of color. The necklace is too round to be S3, and the shoes are also a little too sweet for this. I need something sharper and edgier for the accessories, especially with a cardigan.
Simple, easy, comfortable. I don’t love the necklace though. Too round. Or my photography skills. Too blurry.
This is the second and last time I wore this shirt (thank goodness!!). I don’t like it for me. Too many polk dots, and they don’t line up. I can’t. Add the beaded necklace, and no.
I ended up wearing the black sandal, which was the right choice. The t-strap sandal is very T4 in lines, and it has perforated details that make it S3. I also love the square studs on these Express jeans. And of course I love the shirt I bought in Paris. The triangular shape of the Eiffel Tower and the studs on the jeans are also S3. I’ve had just about every brand of designer jeans, but nothing is as flattering and comfortable as Express jeans. I’m getting rid of everything else, and with one exception, they will be all I own from now on. Try some. Buy some. Then thank me later.
