Let’s try this again

After a very long break from blogging, I’m catching up on 3.5 years of posts and pictures. A lot has happened. Three big reasons the blog got left behind: it was broken, my camera got washed and 9 months of pictures went down the drain (literally) and I was trying to recover them, I have been insanely, crazy busy. But now it’s time. I caught up on 1.5 years worth of posts last December, but then I was waiting for the blog to get the promised makeover, so I kept all those posts on hold. The makeover is going to happen soon, but I’m tired of waiting, so I’m just going to start posting one a week until I’m caught up. I enjoy blogging about our family. I enjoy going back and reading old posts because I forget so much! I want to share this with my kids one day so they can see a chronicle of our lives.

In order to keep it chronological, the blog will pick up right where we left off when Daisy Doll turned one! So please when you see a post about me being pregnant, remember that child #6 has already been born, she is 18 months old, and I’m not announcing a new pregnancy. To keep it less confusing, each post has the date of when it should have been posted in the title and the top of the post.

I’ve also decided that this is my blog, and I can write about anything I want to, whether it is related to the kids or not. I can write about my garden, random thoughts, my current soapbox topic, food, travel, or the weather, but it will still primarily be about our family.

So ignore the blog’s blank canvas formatting (or lack thereof), and take a trip down memory lane with me, if you so choose. I will post one update a week until I’m all caught up, and then I hope to post at least monthly after that. This post doesn’t count as this week’s post, so you get a two-fer!

And here is a little eye candy, our most recent picture as a family:
